Lets not be divided over our views. We must be united in Jesus Christ.

  1. Views and interpretations

Allegorical: End times events and the book of revelation are interpreted through allegorically (spiritualized) metaphorically, symbolically and figuratively.

Literal: The book of revelation is interpreted in their plain and normal sense, and contextually. Figure of speech and spiritual application is considered and recognized with literal interpretation.

Allegorical-Idealist: Symbolic language describing the battles throughout the ages. No literal millennium. Millennium is happening now. Jesus is “spiritually” reigning in heaven, rather than physically. Millennium is based on the gospel outreach. Satan is currently bound, that is why the Gospel can advance.

Allegorical-Historicist: The whole of Bible prophecy is an overview of church history, from Pentecost to the end times. Historicist views the events as symbolic occurred from the apostles to the end of ages.

Allegorical-Preterist: Events were largely fulfilled in AD70. Christ rule earth from heaven through the gospel.

Full preterist view that events happened on AD70. We are now living in New Heaven and New Earth.

Partial preterist view Rev 20-22 are future events; resurrection of believers and the return of Christ.

Literal-Futurist: Prophesied events will take place in the future: Rapture, Tribulation and Millennial reign of Christ. Events are literal and some are yet to be fulfilled.

What is your view? Lets remain humble and let God reveal His mysteries. So what’s the big deal? Our hope is in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Millennium views:

Post-millennialism

Amillennialism

Premillennialism

Post millennialism- Preterist who are post millennium believes that events were largely fulfilled in AD 70 and believes that there are no rapture, no literal millennium. The world will become more godly, peaceful and prosperous through the preaching and the teaching of the church.

Amillennialism – being an idealist, it simply interpret the whole gospel as a symbolic language describing the battles throughout the ages. It does not believe there is a rapture and tribulation.

Pre-millennialism- believes in happenings in the future. Prophesied events will take place eg. Rapture, tribulation etc. Some views held by this: 1) Satan will be bound.2) There will still be unbelievers 3) Christ rules and reigns on earth but the ultimate and complete reign will happen after the years where Satan is released, leading to the final battle which Christ put all His enemies under His feet.

What is big deal? Imagine spending eternity without Christ but burning in hell. On contrast, imagine a eternity without suffering and spending the eternity with Jesus.

2 Peter 3:8-12

But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning His promises, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]

11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat.

What’s the big deal?

Win souls while we still have the time.

Rapture views:

  1. Pre-rapture
  2. Mid-rapture
  3. Post-tribulation rapture

I certainly hope it will be re-tribulation rapture but prepare for the worst. I am going to share my view about the end times. The highlight is to point out that the Lord’s coming is very near.

We will reference the coming of Lord Jesus with the birth pang signs and also looking at the sabbatical circle. (7 year, 50- jubilee year, 7th day) The earth is about 6000, going to be the 7000 years.

2 Peter 3:8

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.

Creation: 4004BC

Adam sin:3970 BC

Jesus is born in 4BC

Passover: AD 30

Millennium 7 day rest  :year 2030 (7 year tribulation begins right before millennium. If millennium is 2030 which is the year where 7000 years of creation, then 2023 will be the year of tribulation)

Nobody knows when Christ is returning. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-11

4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. 5 You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. 6 So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. 9 For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. 10 He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. 11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Matthew 24:32-33

“Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[a] is near, right at the door.

Matthew 24:34-35

Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Psalm 90:10

Our days may come to seventy years,

    or eighty, if our strength endures;

yet the best of them are but trouble and sorrow,

for they quickly pass, and we fly away

We will not know when Christ is coming back nor when will the rapture happen. But Jesus has already warned us and take heed.

What’s the big deal?

Whether Jesus is coming back right now, today, tomorrow, or even in a thousand years’ time, by us preparing for His return, will guarantee yield positive returns.

Philippians 2:14-16

14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.”[a] Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky 16 as you hold firmly to the word of life. And then I will be able to boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor in vain.

Application

Jesus Christ is coming back and let us be prepared and be faithful. Lets reach out to our friends and love ones when we still have time.

After we have taken time to reflect upon our lives, to repent, return, revive and restore. Tell God, “Send me to reach out!”
