When we talk about the Holy Spirit, the thing that came into our minds its His Power; The manifestation of the Holy Spirit’s anointing. God continued to speak to us through His Word and in many ways. And the Holy Spirit continued to anoint the church with spiritual gifts.
Remember: Love the presence of God and not the power of God.
Types of Spiritual Gifts:
Romans 12:6-8 – Prophesying, serving, teaching, encouraging, giving, leadership, and mercy.
1 Corinthians 12:28- Healing, helps, government, diversities of tongues.
9 Spiritual gifts 1 Cor. 12:1-11
- Wisdom- the ability to go beyond human wisdom to provide Godly council, understanding, and give guidance in accordance with God’s perfect will. (James 1-those who lack wisdom, ask God)
- Word of Knowledge- the ability to have the knowledge to know what’s happening in each situation. The gift of wisdom is knowing what to do according to God’s will.
- Faith- the supernatural ability to trust God in His promises and Who He is, no matter the circumstances.
- Healing- the ability to partner the Holy Spirit to bring healing or restoration to a person. This healing can be in the form of physical, mental and emotional.
- Miracles- the ability to perform signs and wonders to confirm the authenticity of God’s Word and the Gospel.
- Prophesy- the ability to foretell what is to come, interpreting the divine will and purposes of God through praise and proclamation, in preaching and teaching. Note that this is not the office of a prophet.

2017- Tsunami – the church will go through a Tsunami. (SJC gone through a crisis and Pastor Klein went in and out of hospital.)
27th July 2020- Vision shared by Robert- SJC has gone through the Tsunami. Word released – Matthew 6:33, Psalm 46:10 and Proverbs 3:5-6
2021- Brother Joel released the Word “The prayer bowl is empty”. The church has worked hard to organize prayer sessions and please join us.
3rd January 2022- Dream given by Joel. Pastor Klein was pulling a cart and reached the destination which is a church. Jesus was sitting at the huge door of the church, and He was smiling. Pastor was talking to Jesus joyfully. Jesus gave Pastor a letter which states “Confidential”.
12th June 2022- A vision given by Zoe. A huge colossal door and many people standing outside. Tuck Suen released a Word: Revelation 3:20 There is light inside the door. However, it was dark outside. It is a warning for all of us. Whether God will open the door for us to go in. Remember the story of the ten virgins. The door was shut on the five virgins. This is a time for us to seek the Lord.
Various Word released: Angels covering the church, protecting the church…This is a season of the supernatural. Not all are going to be trained as we individually must respond to this invitation. It requires sacrifices and it will offend many minds. Let go of the fear and let faith arise in our heart.
Other Word: Hebrews 11:6 (Esther), Mark 1, Isaiah 40 Prepare the way of the Lord (Margaret), Separating the sheep and the goat (Pastor Klein) Is God real in our life? In Hebrews 11:6, without faith it is impossible to please God because those who come to Him must believe that He is!
God wants us to transform us from glory to glory so that God ultimately be glorified. Let this be the call of this church in our life. Come to God and believe in who He is. When we walk in the Spirit, we will bear fruits- Fruits of the Spirit and His mission conscious-to reach out to others.
- Discernment of Spirit- the ability to discern whether a person, a message, teaching, an event etc is truly from God or otherwise. The person is able to distinguish between the move of God and the counterfeit works of Satan or the flesh of men.
- Gift of tongues-it has divided many churches. Lets not fight over this gift and cause division.
Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues[d]? Do all interpret? 31 Now eagerly desire the greater gifts.- 1 Corinthians 12:29-31
What is the most excellent gift? It is love. Without love, it will really become a sounding gong. “If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-2
It is not about spiritual gift but about God. I have met people who does not speak in tongues but are very spiritual and also experienced many miracles /signs. There are people I know who speak in tongues a lot but they are not godly people.
There are many uses of tongues:
1 Corinthians 14:2 – For prayer (Private)
For anyone who speaks in a tongue[a] does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit.
Romans 8:26-28 Intercession (private)
Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God
1 Corinthians 14:22 for a sign (public)
-the ability to speak a foreign language which is not known by that individual.
Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is not for unbelievers but for believers.
1 Corinthians 14:27-28 Interpretation of Tongues
If anyone speaks in a tongue, two—or at the most three—should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret. 28 If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and to God.
God is not a God of disorder and tongues are usually used privately. And, there must be an interpreter according to the Bible. However, when there are times when our church gathers together, let’s be gracious to each other if your brother/sister speaks in tongue as long as he/she is not causing any disorder.
Let’s respond: Let’s pursue love and desire spiritual gifts. Love the presence of God and not the power of God. 1 Corinthians 14:1
