Christmas is celebrated around the world with a happy mood. What is Christmas all about? Christmas is about Joy in Jesus. What does Christmas remind us of
God is faithful as He fulfilled His Promise through Jesus Christ.
Luke 2:9-11
And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Isaiah 7:14
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.
Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of His government and peace
There will be no end
Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
From that time forward, even forever.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
Isaiah 55:11
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
Maybe some of us are waiting for God to fulfil God’s promises or a prophecy that has been spoken about you. God is always faithful and His Word will always come to pass.
God is resourceful.
Psalm 50:9-12
I will not take a bull from your house, Nor goats out of your folds.
10 For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills.
11 I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. “If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.
God is resourceful. During Christmas where God needed a vessel to carry His Son, Jesus and He chose Mary. It was not easy to find a willing virgin to carry His Son.
Luke 1:38
Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her.
Mary submitted to the Lord and she felt an honour to be used by God. Now, God is looking for vessels to share the good news to people. God is resourceful and trust Him for a miracle.
Matthew 2:10
When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy.
It is not an ordinary star. God created the star. The Star led the wise men to Jesus. They were overjoyed as it led them to Jesus. How wonderful God is. God is not limited and He knows it all. It is a miracle, trust God for a miracle.
A needed place for Jesus to be born. As you read the bible, there is no inn for Jesus to be born and a manger was found. God loves to surprise us. The Son of God is born in the manger. Can you imagine the regrets of the inn keepers? How did we reject the Son of God? Do we have a room in our heart in the midst of all the celebrations? We are so busy the midst of all these celebrations and we may ask God to wait. Many regretted at their death beds not serving God.
Luke 2:12
“And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a [d]manger.”
God is generous
Luke 2:10-11
Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a [d]manger.”
God is resourceful and generous. Willing to send His only begotten Son to us.
1 John 4:9-11
In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
How do we know God is love as when we look at the world, it is so chaotic. This is how God show His love for us. He send His one and only Son to us.
Each time we decorate our house and buy gifts for others, we have to think about the meaning of Christmas.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
So He sent His Son to die for our sins. Christmas can be a lonely time. There are some people who cannot celebrate Christmas or are overseas, away from their families. Some are sick in the hospital. Christmas is above all these, it is about Jesus. Christmas also speak to us about God’s desire for all of us. The shepherds and the wise men fulfil the desires of God’s heart.
Luke 2:15
“Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”
They were responsible shepherds but at that point, they hurried off to find Jesus, leaving their sheep and after that they went out to spread the good news. The heart of God must be touched. Do we touched the heart of God? Do we take time to worship Him or serve Him? Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all the things will be added to us. They celebrated Jesus, they worshipped Him.
Luke 2:16-20
So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told
In this Christmas season, God wants to remind us. God is faithful, resourceful and He is generous. He will fulfil His promise to you, if you need something, God is resourceful and provide for you. If you are looking for a miracle this Christmas, we need to believe.
